The media has a narrative and they don’t want it challenged. Even when she ran in 2008 Clinton wasn’t the first woman to be a presidential candidate for the Democratic party, it was Shirley Chisholm in 1972, also a black woman. Y'all still not reading the fine print. Shirley Chrisholm was the FIRST BLACK women to run for president. She was NOT NOMINATED by a MAJOR party. She was the first black women to run for the Democratic party nomination but she did NOT get the nomination. Lenora Fulani was the FIRST WOMEN to achieve Ballot access in all 50 states. Hillary Clinton was the FIRST women to be NOMINATED by a major party. All are different. They are all different, but it doesn’t change the fact that the media silences the success and impact of black women in the United States I know that but people are spreading false information. Im all hear for people spreading around black history but make sure your stuff is right before you post it. Nobody is saying that these other women didn’t accomplish what they did. Nobody said Hillary is the first to do it all. I agree with the Media silencing the accomplishments of Black women but for this example, It isn’t the case. -- source link
