hush-hush-antitime:OH LOOK someone’s selling my print for 23 bucks when I haven’t made a penny off of it. I was approached, what, yesterday? by an anon asking if they could sell my shirts under stipulations that they linked back to my art. Not only have they not linked back, I didn’t even give permission. I said “I’m willing to discuss this” but only if the person contacted me off anon so I could get a feel for how many shirts the person was making and what kind of profit they expected to turn, or if it was just a personal thing. They didn’t even bother to get back to me before happily offering it as a shirt, and six people have already purchased it. Considering I’ve made jack off my art for a year, this is really discouraging. I suck at marketing myself but if anyone had expressed interest in prints or t-shirts I would have gladly set up a store with my art with good, updated, hi-res versions of this print. If you really think the art is worth buying or selling, why don’t you just ask the original artist? why do people do this -- source link
