I went to Malacca and walked all over town for two hours, took pictures, awed at the buildings at Jonker Street. That was crazy though, because it was hot, it was 11 am to 1pm and I was fasting. I did eye the tourists milling around with their water bottles, but I couldn’t just break my fast that day, I wasn’t that tired. So I bought an umbrella and went to rest before calling my partner to fetch me. Malacca is rich in history, just wiki it. They’ve been colonialised by the Dutch, English and Japanese. It did trade with China and India in the old days. I’d love to return to Malacca again, because I spent five years there in a boarding school. Probably work there in the future for a bit, who knows? -- source link
