A breed often mistaken for a Cane Corso is this dog, the Presa Canario. It’s likely cause they have similar builds, color and size. Not to mention I can see how the name Cane can be mistook for Canario. . . The dog pictured is Tono Del Hardin Canario (DOB 5/27/89) he was owned by a fellow (Bill Jarvis) in Utah who if my memory serves me right, was at the time a young Mormon doing missionary work in Spain where he acquired Tono before setting back to the states. . . I was 15/16 in 1990/91, Al Banuelos, Daryl Young and I drove out to Utah to purchase a pair of pups. We believe that we were the first to bring Presa’s into the state of California at that time, or least one of the first. I kept the female and Al Banuelos kept the Male. . . Just another bit of history on some great dogs, great memories and about myself doing what I love. . . #presacanario #mastiff #dogs #dogsofinstagram #canecorso #utah #mormon #history (at Brea, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CVnojxSPzkg/?utm_medium=tumblr -- source link
