Part 3 of my Fanfiction “Storm: Wanderer”. Ainet motions her index finger up to Ororo’s lips as if to shush away her next list of questions from spilling forth. She promised to provide answers, so she would surely deliver as many as she could before blessing Storm on her journey. Ainet’s gaze begins to slowly retreat from Ororo’s as she looks off to the magnificent horizon surrounding them atop Mount Kenya. With her back now facing Ororo, she exhales a deep sigh before gently lowering her eyes to survey the rocks at the base of the mountain. “I’m confident that you were aware of my absence from this plane over the last few decades. My own quest for knowledge and answers lead me to new realms far reaching beyond what’s known.” Ainet turns slowly to meet Ororo’s confused eyes. “I was failing you young one. It was my task to unlock your family’s mysteries, and at that time, I had come to a dead end with my magical knowledge. So I needed to become more than I was, and push past my Voudon to deeper understandings.” Ainet declared while smiling. “I told you there were at least four defined forms of magic, but there are subsets of these four categories. One such subset of Eco-Centric magic was particularly helpful in my quest to piece together the many fragments of your families lineage. This form is called Weaver magic. It’s practitioners, called Wyrdlings or Dream Catchers, are capable of mystically seeing the threads of destiny surrounding all living things.” Ainet described while rubbing her hands together. “You see, a Weaver Mage can instantly see the entire history of anyone or anything just by touching one of these threads. Similar to the base form of Eco-Centric magic, which tap into the ambient energies of the world around them, Weaver mages tap into the energies of other individuals to read and possibly manipulate energy lines within their auras to create favorable results.” Ainet explained, pulling her hands apart exposing brilliant threads of light in between her palms. “I had finally found the perfect magic to scrub through your history and find the answers that had eluded me for so long.
