“What if Vanitas has bipolar and Noé met him at the end of his manic period and chapter 7 is when Vanitas begins a low period and that’s why he seems so different (disclaimer I got my knowledge on bipolar disorder from google so feel free to correct me on anything) but also it seems unlikely that the explanation for Vanitas’s behaviour would be that simple in a mochijun manga but this idea just kind of occurred to me and I wanted to share it“ -- source link
