Further north or south and availabilities change. Ex. Florida has a summer blueberry season and a winter one (the winter season is inferior but still there), and zucchini and summer squash are pretty much always year round foods. And then things like apples are always imported because you can’t grow apples in Florida. Tl;dr: if you want to know what’s in season at the farmers market GO THERE and TALK TO PEOPLE. The vendors will be happy to tell you what is home grown in season and what they buy in because people want it. -- source link
