Im thinking either Ama is a witch hunter that has turned his back on the guild to watch over Esther, this little spirit of the mists and fog?? Or that he is simply tasked with such, a sort of “You imperials were made for something so much greater than you could fathom, and you’ve forgotten it” sort of protecting precious spirits and things ? ?
