talesfromweirdland:Designs by Syd Mead for 2010 (1984).It’s a pretty entertaining film really, as long as you don’t expect another 2001 and you can get past the Russian accents. Kubrick’s film is an experience, 2010 is a movie; I think that is basically the difference. But just on its own it’s solid, Roy Scheider is always good, and it has a nice space walk, even though John Lithgow acts like someone who shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near anything. -- source link
