fail-boat-stitches: Day 7 of Ben Drew’s The Kracken. It isn’t a proper project until I have to frog something, and unfortunately on this one, it took me a while to catch the error, so I ended up with quite a bit of frogging. I forgot to take a picture of where I reached when I realized I had an error, but essentially I got to where the left-most red tentacle was supposed to be touching the blue diagonal line, but was a square off. I did a bunch of counting to find my mistake. Everything was coming back as it was supposed to be. I knew I was missing something obvious, but decided to just frog the blue diagonal (even though I’d stitched it correctly) to adjust for proper fit. As soon as I’d pulled out all of the stitches, I finally figured out my mistake: while chatting the day before, I’d started my tentacle one stitch too high. *headdesk* I was already frogging at this point and figured I may as well do things correctly. I frogged the entire flag and tentacle. Picture 4 is where I got back to the point I was at before frogging - just with everything in proper alignment. Picture 5 is where I ended it for the day. -- source link
