alittlemorethanateam:Q: [In The Gone Fishin’ Job] why was it Hardison who stops them from getting on the train, when it was Eliot who’d sussed out the bomb earlier on and knew the militia would be using it very soon? It seems like Eliot should have been the one to make them go back rather than having Hardison need to convince him.A: Eliot’s priority was to get Hardison out of there, whether he’d admit it or not. Hardison’s decision to go back probably did more to cement their friendship than anything else in the last two years. Although, again, neither would admit it. - John Rogers xLong before he told him, Eliot knew Hardison was smarter than any of them. He knew Hardison could do almost anything he wanted to if he put his mind to it.The reason Eliot’s always angry at Hardison when he tries to do things other than hacking is not because he doesn’t think Hardison can do them; it’s because he’s worried sick that Hardison will get himself in trouble for using his heart more than his brain.Which is funny considering that in The Gone Fishing Job he would’ve put loads of people in danger rather than risk Hardison’s life. Another thing Eliot would never admit is that they are rubbing off on each other. -- source link
