the-fault-in-our-wifi:spookylookingclouds:awkwardlara:lbardugo:chainsandshipsexciteme:memrise:James Chapman’s animal sounds illustrations are so cool! When I was doing a language immersion program in Japan, I was in a class with people from Germany, Sweden, Taiwan, a few other countries that I’m forgetting at the moment, and another girl from the US. We were having a lazy day so the teacher asked around the room what eating noises in our native countries were; all of our classmates’s sounds were so adorable, then the teacher turned to me and the other American and we just looked at each other before shouting “NOM NOM NOM”DEEPLY adorable.I remember learning the Turkish animal noises as a wee tot living in Ankara with my parents. They bought me a couple of cassette tapes and we brought back to the US where I’ve lived now since I was very young. I listened to them over and over again until they broke and I will always remember the sounds the animals made from the cute songs in the cassette tapes, and then I remember learning the English version and being a bit disappointed that the sounds weren’t as cool.Yeah but what does the fox say?I understand most of these but like when has a bee ever said Boong. -- source link
