amnhnyc: Behold, the Pink-necked Green-pigeon (Treron vernans)! This colorful bird can be found throughout southeast Asia, including parts of Thailand and Vietnam. It lives in forest habitats, where it hangs out in small flocks in the treetops, foraging mainly for fruit. Distinguishing a male from a female isn’t too difficult: females lack the pink neck and are mostly an olive-green color.
