So like rather than using alchemy to bring Momma Elric back, Ed and Al use necromancy - but again it backfires and Al is lost to the gate (bc that’s so still a thing in this AU). Also, instead of being bonded to a suit of armour, Ed bonds Al’s soul to a little bird skull he had and now he keeps it round his neck. -- source link
