When the Sgt began to speak they watched him even if they thought it a waste of time, that had been their orders after all. After a handful of minutes of listening to the man speak of duty, responsibility, loyalty, focus, and obedience they stopped thinking it of something they had to do but something they wanted, craved, to do. They wanted to listen to him. To obey and serve him with everything they had. To belong to him. They were grateful when he said he accepted them as his men. -- source link
