There are a couple of topics that we want your opinion on, Rookies! Those of you that follow us on the rookiesrp Twitter may have already seen the polls that we just put up for you to vote in.We’re like your input on the following topics: what you think we should do with our confessions blog and if you think it would be a good idea to make OOC company group chats on Twitter to make plotting easier for trainees. We discussed these topics among the staff and decided neither of these were decisions we wanted to make without the influence of the entire community, so please head over to the Twitter page and vote if you’re able!Unfortunately, Twitter won’t let those without Twitter accounts vote in polls, but your opinion is still very important to us. We were searching for a different polling platform, but couldn’t figure out which would work best for our purposes and which was safe and reliable in a timely manner. If you don’t have a Twitter account, please let us know what you think by sending a message to rksuggestion, because we’d really love to hear from everyone.Normally issues regarding the confessions blog would go up on that blog, but we know many people have chosen to avoid it altogether (which is totally fine!) and as we determine the future of the blog, we want to gather the opinion of the community as a whole as accurately as possible. Even since changing the rules of the confessions blog, any response to it we’ve seen has largely been negative, and we think it’s time to determine once and for all if you think it’s doing more harm than good. Please let us know, and if you have something to say beyond the four options on the poll, send that to rksuggestion as well! Our other lighter topic is something we’ve considered for a while, but didn’t have time to propose until now: making company group chats on Twitter. Each company has an OOC chat on AIM, but since AIM statuses were removed, AIM has slowed down significantly, and some people have quit using it altogether. Do you think it would be helpful to have group chats for companies on Twitter as well? We know that some people use their Twitter accounts for more than just roleplay and may not want to be part of a group chat for roleplaying, and may not want everyone in that chat to be able to see their Twitter account, so this is why we’re asking. If the overall response is yes, leave the creation of those chats to your head mods. We’ll be sure to ask everyone if they want to be added before adding them, and since Twitter tends to be a little fast-paced, we’ll also make sure there’s at least one head mod available in every company chat from now on! If the overall answer is no, obviously, we’ll still stick to company chats on AIM, simple as that. (Remember, joining any company chat is always optional. It’s important to be inclusive of those that aren’t in any chats as well, and IM is always a helpful option!)Both polls are set to run until around this time next Wednesday, so you’ll have an entire week to vote. Any changes these polls determine won’t go into effect until the votes are final, either. Throughout this week, please remember that in a community this big, people are bound to have different opinions. If everyone felt the same way about everything, that would be terribly boring and wouldn’t foster the creative environment we know Rookies to be at all! Please respect any opinions different than your own as we work together to come to the best solution possible.Thank you, Rookies!
