hakka84:once-and-future-gay:mr-merlin:“He may yet change. I believe there is goodness in him.”why did they delete this????????? FUMINGA scene that showed Morder in a positive light instead of an idiot who got in three minutes from “I’d die for this king” to “death to the king because my girlfriend refused to accept the king’s offer the king made because of me”? Of course they had to go and delete it.I still hate what they did to Mordred. If only they spent two, TWO, minutes more on Mordred!!They should’ve shown him think about Arthur and Kara, his hatred Arthur for her death but at the same time he reasoning that Kara wasn’t the innocent victim either, that Kara was in the wrong and went to her death willingly and Arthur tried to do something (mostly for the love he had for Mordred). He could’ve thought back about what Arthur did - or not did - during the time Mordred has lived at the court, the many lost opportunities to change things for the magic users, the injustice perpetrated by Arthur (perhaps missing the good things Arthur might’ve done) and then decide that Arthur didn’t deserve his loyalty anymore, that he had lost his trust in Arthur and he wouldn’t be able to serve Arthur after what happened to Kara, that he would forever hate him for this reason and so leaving Camelot was his only choice left. And only later rethinking everything and deciding that there was no chance for Arthur to open to magic, etc. etc so to motivate Mordred’s choice to join Morgana.Mordred was quite vocal in his disapproval toward Morgana’s actions, and his decision to jump ship and run to Morgana was… well, out of character, and ruined a character that could’ve been given a MAGNIFICENT descent to darkness to make him… an idiot that switches sides because his terrorist killer girlfriend got sent to death because of her crimes (the killings, not the “using magic”). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Mordred deserved so much better than the shitty storyline he got -- source link
