katelyndanger:lezzyharpy:lezzyharpy:lezzyharpy:these posts fucking suck and we see them like once or twice a month at this point likeyes actually if you are allegedly a leftist of some sort addressing peoples concerns is kind of the point. we live in a time of increasing repression and brutality and when people get curious about anarchism or marxism or any other kinda leftism thats like, a good thing. we want thatwhen people have questions about how will we do this, how will we do that, fucking TALK about that, even if we dont have a 100% set in stone concrete answer like come on are you fucking kidding me?this “ask not what your country anarchism can do for you but what you can do for your country anarchism” shit fucking blows likeno fucking wonder western leftism continues to be such a fucking joke when it boils down to jacking off over being more enlightened like good fucking lordwestern leftism is a pathetic fucking social club. addressing peoples concerns, actually putting in effort and organizing to build a better world is too much work “You are the driving force behind what gets organized. btw when people bring up concerns to you tell them that its their job”fucking pull yourself up by your bootstraps shit that shit in particular, the jacking off over homebrewed meds always gets to me cuz like. fucks sake just look at insulin, weve seen what happens when people try to scrimp and save and use off brand insulin and like. a lot of them just die. like thats itstuff like the shortage of insulin is no major manufacturing concern preventing it from widespread production, its a pricing and distribution stranglehold, but people get attached to this idea of sidestepping the issue with bathtub insulin and other meds instead of fixing the fucking problem at the source like. its this same wank over decentralized [x] where the decentralized solution is presented as like more ideologically desirable regardless of practical considerations for the previously more centralized [x], energy concerns, scale of economy, for meds shit like guarantee of consistent and known properties likethis shit MATTERS you cant just handwave this shit awaythese are concerns that most people are barely, if that, getting met in the first place right now, of fucking course people are gonna want to know how that might work under some other proposed social system like come ONalso like, i dont think its the obligation of someone with diabetes (or AIDS, or any other chronic condition that requires medication) to be part of the group organizing for that specific need to be met like thats something a functioning society should be able to handle, we should be able to meet the needs of people without saying “if you have x need figure it out yourself““stop looking to other people” we should all be looking to each other come the fuck on. thats not “asking other people to figure everything out for you” jesus christ Even worse is when you ask what’s going to happen to disabled people if they can’t get their medicine or mobility aids and they say “oh well, we’ll just take care of them so they won’t have to work” or “we’ll just redefine the definition of disability so that’s it’s different under our framework than under a capitalist framework”We *need* centralized manufacture and distribution of medicine and medical supplies. We need to guarantee to people that the drug they’re taking is safe and effective. We need to guarantee that if you come in for surgery, you’re getting clean tools, not whatever Jerry had in his shed and sterilized with boiling water.Obviously we can’t predict everything, but we can at least fucking start trying to. -- source link
