“My theory on archivists right now is that they were possibly worshippers of the blue moon, making it the reason why they were also all killed off. It would also explain why noe has such a strange fascination with the blue moon. Or maybe one of the archivists ancestors had a close relationship with votbm and has somehow managed to pass on their wish to protect votbm to their bloodline, thus making them unafraid of the blue moon. It’s also possible their silver hair that seems to be the same as votbm is a result of them genetically modifying themselves somehow to look like her, resulting in all their future offsprings to have similar features to votbm. Anyway I don’t think noe is blood related to votbm or has any familial relations with them but I do think the archivists as a clan had some form of close connection with votbm and that connection is why they all perished. For the record I don’t think votbm ever had any children/descendants, I think it would hinder mochizuki’s storytelling in how she seems to be going for making vani & misha the first real bonds votbm ever had.“ -- source link
