[Images: several black and white character drawings, and a banner that says “commissions.” End ID]hello! i wasn’t planning on reopening yet, but Things Have Happened so :’) here we arequick facts:this is about personal commissions, and info here does not apply to commercial freelance work, but you can absolutely hire me for that too (email me!)all prices listed in USDpayment taken upfront via paypal (let me know if you need to use a different processor, and we’ll try to work something out)absolutely not to be associated with N*f*ts or cr*pto c*rrency in any way, don’t even ask, please leaveallow for turnaround time up to 4 weeks (it’s usually much faster, but no guarantees)yes, it’s all black and whitecurrently offering:$30 single character sketch portraits; chest/shoulders-up, one character, black and white, textured black background, 5x7″ 300dpi$20-$30 prompt doodles; 1-3 characters, black and white with minimal background elements. currently digital only, 5x7″ at 300dpi$75+ illustrations; characters within a full scene. price depends on complexity, will probably still cap out at a max of 3 main characters. will do color but it ups the price significantly.p.s. if you just like what i do in general and would like to support my ability to continue doing it, please see my pinned post for kofi & shop linksmore commission details:——————————will draw:original charactersfanart for things i’ve previously drawn fanart for, or have talked about watching/reading even if i haven’t drawn it yethumans and nearly-human aliens/fantasy races/etcmost animals and furries (my strengths lie with terrestrial mammals, but i will give anything a go)mild violence and goremaybe draw:fanart for things i may not have watched/readreal historic peoplerobotsoutlandish aliens and monstersnudity——————————character sketch portraits:what it says on the tin! a portrait of a single character, from the chest or shoulders-up. will probably be in ¾ view or close to it. background is a grungy textured black. second example image above is what i’m aiming for with these (it is the *tiniest bit* cleaner/more refined) but the first (and the set it’s from, in my #the terror tag) is a fair example of how close they’ll get to real human likeness. drawn at 5x7″ (12.7x17.78 cm) and 300dpi, so they’re suitable for small prints.what i need from you: a clear visual reference. piccrews and face-claims are acceptable. if it’s fanart for a character i’ve drawn before this isn’t strictly necessary, unless there’s a specific interpretation or phase of their appearance you prefer. a sentence or two about the character’s personality/vibe is useful. let me know if you have any preferences for tiny background doodles (see: the stars in the second example, for an astronaut character) or prefer to keep just the grungy black.designs will be simplified to some degree, so if there’s little super-important details that shouldn’t be changed, i need to know.no preview sketches and no revisions. please make sure you’ve shown/told me all necessary information about the character’s appearance before paying. ——————————prompt doodles:a quick doodle featuring 1-3 characters, based on a one-sentence prompt you provide. these illustrations focus on the character, and there won’t be any more background/scenery than is necessary. digital, but i do try to emulate an ink/marker/pencil look. by default these will be drawn at 5x7″ (12.7x17.78 cm) and 300dpi, but if you ask nicely and are willing to pay a few dollars more, larger sizes can probably be accommodated. single-character prompts are $20 and multi-character prompts are $30. please be aware that if the prompt calls for a bust/portrait, it will be a little more detailed & refined than one that calls for full-body characters in action. what i need from you:a simple prompt (”[character name] [verbing] a [noun],” “[character] and [character] in [fashion style],” “a silly portrait of [character]” “redraw this meme with [character]” etc) any necessary visual references. piccrews and face-claims are acceptable. if it’s fanart for a character i’ve drawn before this isn’t strictly necessary, unless there’s a specific interpretation or phase of their appearance you prefer. references for obscure objects or specific fashions are also very helpful. designs will be simplified to some degree, so if there’s little super-important details that shouldn’t be changed, i need to know.no preview sketches and no revisions. please make sure you’ve shown/told me all necessary information about the character’s appearance before paying. ——————————illustrations:pricing varies based on what you want. please contact me with a description of what you’d like (stick-figure visual aids are welcome, but not required!) and your budget. i greatly prefer natural/outdoor settings over man-made structures (which is not to say i’ll never draw those, but be aware i might turn you down if i don’t think i can do justice to your vision). i do love drawing animals and will happily include them, especially horses.unlike the prompt doodles, i do spend a lot of time on the initial sketches/underdrawing for these so that the “bones” are good even though i prefer to leave the final line art in a loose sketchy style. cleaner line art and more detailed rendering, or color instead of black and white, can be done but ups the price and turnaround time significantly.illustration commissions do include a limited number of preview sketches, which i’ll outline via email along with terms of service before you commit to the commission and are sent the invoice.——————————something else:i will, in theory, draw just about anything you can dream up. my commission rates typically start at $60. part of this is to cover the time spent in conversation with the client to determine what exactly they want, whether we need to adjust their idea to fit their budget, getting all the info and references i need, etc. i’m able to price portraits & prompts lower because variables are limited and i’ve tried to streamline the entire process.——————————how to order:email me at astralwhat@gmail.com with “art commission” as the email titleif you’re commissioning a portrait or prompt doodle, please provide all info (commission type, reference, prompt, etc) in your first email! it saves us all some timeif you’re interested in an illustration or something else, please tell me your budget, and a basic description of what you have in mind. also helpful: visual references for characters or locations, and links to any of my past works that are similar to what you wanti’ll send a reply to confirm, and may ask for clarification/further info if needed, and send my terms of service (which outlines acceptable personal uses, refund/cancellation policy, etc.) once i have all i need i’ll send you an invoice via paypal. when you’ve paid the invoice, i can start working on your artit may take up to six weeks for your art to be completed. if there’s a particular date you would like it by, please tell me up front and i’ll let you know if that’s possiblei do my best to reply within 48 hours, but i’m very tired and it may sometimes take a bit longer. if there’s been a whole week of radio silence feel free to yell @ me on the social media platform of your choiceanyway thanks for reading all this and looking at my little pictures i love you -- source link
