Whether he sees it in Loki’s eyes, or he feels it in his heart, or both - I don’t know, but he says, “Loki, no!” right before Loki lets go. Thor knew that shit was going to go down and, as is usually the case when Loki dies, he couldn’t do a single thing to stop it. I never thought about this before reading this post, but notice the difference between Odin’s “no” and Thor’s “no.” Odin’s is rejection; Thor’s is a plea to his brother to not let go.
