suzannart: exceptionallyautistic: suzannart: I’m not an expert but I like hands a lot so hopefully some of this was helpful! I’d like to point out that what op drew is a hypermobile finger. The hand under “pushing hard” is also hypermobile. This gives even more leeway to how hands can be drawn since we can usually fold them in weird ways. We also tend to grip things a little differently. So i’d recommend artists to look up hypermobility because it’s another good way to diversify your characters anatomy! Going off of that some of us use what’s called ringsplints. So if you draw a hypermobile character you can always do cool jewelry out of ringsplints! We also tend to sit in weird/“quirky” positions! I didn’t think about this at the time, but I realize my hands and joints are a quite bit squishier than average. Maybe I should’ve put a disclaimer up! Thank you for the knowledgable addition :) -- source link
