No, we didn’t.This is a big reason why the movement to take away the word ‘Queer’ and exclude parts of our communities is gaining so much traction. We lost our elders and with them, our history. So TERFs and other bad actors have gained a lot of power because this generation largely isn’t here anymore to dispute them.
