Aimee Cherie Intimates Lola II Bralette and Phoebe BriefThe sexy, retro-babe-style briefs are what caught my attention at ACI. I’ve had these, ’Phoebe’, for a year and a half now and when I first saw them 2 years ago, no one was doing anything like them, in spite of their current ubiquity. Snaps to Aimee Cherie for being a forerunner of the trend. I’ve worn them under a lot of white dresses and denim cut-offs, wash in the machine (in a lingerie bag) and even shot them in salt water at the beach and they are still in amazing condition. The lace is really durable, a beautiful pattern and the construction is great- Go Aussie-made! If in doubt with brief sizing, size-up. These are a good fit, but I’m definitely on the borderline and due to my height/torso length, probably should’ve sized up to have them sit on the true waist (if you’re not a giantess like me though, they’d be fine). Also take into consideration the lace has no stretch. The ‘Lola II’ bralette exceeded my expectations. That non-stretch lace holds the breasts nicely, more securely than a stretch fabric, and again, the pattern and scalloped edge is my favorite aspect. The strap detail adds just enough quirk to match the cool brief. This bralette is a size Medium (my regular) and the fit is perfect. Romantic, cool and quirky, this is a brand for the girls with a love of the edgy-yet-relaxed ‘90′s hot girl’ aesthetic and a homegrown Aussie label you should support.
