kaleyhamilton: Here are 2 finished spreads of a children’s picture book project for my illustration seminar class! :^) The basic plot of the book is that Sophie is a little vampire girl who moves to the US with her monster family (because the monster economy isn’t doing too great), but they don’t understand human customs. She talks to her new classmates about her monster family and brings in her pet ghost for show-and-tell, and they think she just has an overactive imagination. She has a hard time making friends, so her mother suggests she throw a sleepover (because the best way to make friends is to trap them in your house for 24 hours). Needless to say a bunch of things go wrong at this sleepover, as her classmates aren’t expecting to be stuck in a haunted house! (Things work out in the end-don’t worry) The first spread is the girls getting settled in Sophie’s house and playing games, and the second spread is after one of the girls accidentally releases Sophie’s pet ghost out of his cage! (I also cut the spreads into individual pages for easier tumblr readability) -- source link
