Guys he is… Very, very cray craySo I wanted to delve deeper into this guys’s character - I mean, it’s funny to draw silly fanarts of him, but - and oh boy. (Earlier I quickly designed how I think he looked like under his mask!)I really would’ve enjoyed a *nice* comic about Jhin - but alas, my hope was in vain. So I did it - it’s not much, but I wanted to show how twisted Jhin is, how totally deluded he is. This guy is/was the so-called Golden Demon, an Ionian serial killer who slaughtered like whole farmsteads and made these goddamn horrifying displays of corpses looking like some twisted artworks or whatever. He finally got caught, sent to jail for a long time, but then a war came and some uhhh not very smart secret society decided that he should be released to terrify the enemy. They also gave him an elephant gun and endless funds. How nice. And I though Ionia was a nice place.Designwise - he is wearing an asymmetric hoodie like this, and also two of that armwrap-thing he wears currently, I wanted him to keep that. But they’re also asymmetrical as you can see. Makeup-wise: I went with those additional lines. I figured, later on he just simply etched them into his mask. He carries several smaller, probably enchanted blades and nails, and yes, he certainly did dissect his victims. He wrote poems about it. Also very nice. Also his mark!! I almost forgot - I made up that he always “signoed” his work, but in his early period he did it like that, three lines in a row, one under, and with golden paint… That’s how he got the name Golden Demon, because when people saw it they thought it was a demon’s claw marks. But this is my own canon theory lol. I really hope you guys like this, I worked on this a lot - I got grossed out so often tho haha. It’s… interesting to draw/paint disfigured corpses. Uhh.Anyway, I learned a shitton off of this, I don’t think I’ve ever painted such a dramatic lighting. Or a guy aroused by dead people. Here’s the music I listened to in an endless loop while making this: Florence+the Machine: No Light, No Light. It somehow fits??? -- source link
