masked-outlaw: Hurrah! My version of unmasked Jhin, born from a couple of ideas. (So, I’ll jump right in.)Face structure was based off of this concept art done for him.I didn’t want anything exceptional in the design. More “Asian” oriented features for Ionian heritage, but a face and a “style” that you could walk by 20 times over and not find anything striking about in the least. Someone who you’d easier guess is the farmer’s help down the road rather than a serial killer with extraordinary wealth at his disposal. Not extraordinarily attractive, not ugly. Regular. Plain. Symmetrical. In short- he hates it.In his lore and Q&A, its stated that he has the ability to manipulate his facial muscles to create different features for disguises. So, in addition to “plain”, I aimed for an easy to manipulate “chameleon” kind of look. Cue a hairstyle that would be easy to manage, manipulate, grow out or shave at relative short notice- but stays true to the “plain” theme. It came out as “mop head” :’^} but again, unexceptional is best for someone who has come to be wanted by all and can’t just walk into a tavern on a sunday wearing a full face mask. He couples styling his hair and changing his face with makeups, outfits, and props to create a character which he can easily manage and blend into the everyday life of wherever the heck he is at the time. Mostly its equally as plain to avoid grabbing any attention, but he occasionally has a bit too much fun with it. His history in theatre supports the disguises to make for all-too-convincing lies. He’s aging too, somewhere in his 40′s, so he’s developing lines from that accordingly. In addition to his age he bears the quiet stress of constantly keeping an eye out, resulting in some greying hair as well. He dyes it when he can if its needed for a new character. His relative insomnia also makes for dark marks under his eyes most often. He holds little value on the changing of his appearance- feels no strain in it. He despises how he looks and tends to find it more enjoyable when he successfully pulls off a new character rather than fuss with trying to look good on his own. All I can say is. Boi -- source link
