Here are some new character designs for my illustration portfolio! They are from the Broadway musical Annie, inspired by the many different screen depictions of the characters. Needless to say I listened to the soundtrack a LOT while drawing these. My favourite movie version is the 1999 one with Audra McDonald as Grace Farrell, so I had to make my Grace look a little like her. I was going to make my Miss Hannigan look more like Carol Burnett (hands-down my favourite Miss Hannigan) but I think the designs were looking really homogenous in terms of body shape and height so I changed it up a bit.Hope you like it! -- source link
