Another week, another night out! Last night my husband and I went “out” and left the baby in the evening AGAIN! This time we left her with my mom, which barely feels like “leaving” her. Still we did it! Contrary to what seems to be popular belief, our outing last week wasn’t actually a “date,” it was seeing a play with my entire family. And neither was last night’s outing. Our very unglamorous excuse to get “dressed up” and get out was an open house for a preschool we’re thinking of for Girly next year. But I’ll grab up any excuse to put myself together! And what a thrill it was to wear a delicate necklace, a shirt that isn’t stretchy enough to easily nurse in and wedged booties! Just to balance out what a boss I felt like last night, Girly was up lots last night and I’ve felt like an exhausted shmatta all day. In the words of a letter board I saw on Instagram today, “Today was the Mondayest, Monday that ever Monday’s.” Case in point: I didn’t even realize it was Monday today. I spent the whole day thinking it was the end of the week and almost started this post by saying that it was our second time out in one week. -- source link
