Both women started out as correspondents on The Daily Show while it was being hosted by Jon Stewart, and they account for one-third of the six female correspondents who have appeared in the show’s 22-year history.  Jessica Williams was hired at the age of 23, making her the youngest correspondent ever and the first Black woman to ever hold the position. Trailblazer.  With 13 seasons under her belt, Samantha Bee is the longest-serving regular correspondent to ever grace TDS. She left in 2015 to start her own late night series, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. Thus she became the first woman to ever host a late-night political satire show.
