I went to the Rabbit Island (Ôkunoshima) during the Golden Week! My friends and I had not expected this island to be so close to where we were, so it was a nice surprise! There are a lot of rabbits here, but what I didn’t know is that the island also had a poison gas factory during WWII. All the buildings are half collapsing and covered in plants, and the presence of the rabbits gives it some sort of eerie and post-apocalyptic feeling. -- source link
