royalreply: royal-confessions: “Harry and Meghan have unwittingly made things even worse for themselves when it comes to the press by choosing to be this private. There’s no doubt in my mind that a newspaper or magazine would pay much more for a rare Sussexes family photo or Sussex kids picture than any other royals’ picture who appear together as a family and post their children’s photos and family photos on Instagram all the time, which means they’re the big prize for photographers / paparazzi and will be hunted accordingly.” - Submitted by Anonymous“The privacy of Archie and baby girl Sussex will only get worse as they get older. There will be a media frenzy when they start attending school photographers will be outside trying to get pictures of them” - Submitted by Anonymous @fascinated-by-fangirls I never said they were irrelevant but that they are at risk of becoming irrelevant over the years, and by refusing to release pictures of their children now, while there is still some interest, they are willingly or unwillingly pushing the prices of such pictures up. It’s not an obscure PR strategy, but the law of supply and demand. As someone who studied economics as part of my second degree I can tell you that if there is no demand the lack of supply is irrelevant. If you think that their public interest will dwindle with time then so will the demand for pictures of their kids. The press isn’t going to keep paying top dollar for pictures of people’s children if there is no public interest in them and withholding the opportunity for those pictures also isn’t going to keep Harry and Meghan relevant. I have no doubt that the general public will lose interest in the Sussex’s day to day lives and I’m pretty sure that is exactly what Harry and Meghan are hoping will happen. They have said multiple times that they just want to live their lives, raise their kids, and do their work without having to concern themselves with press interference and liable. -- source link
