DAISY JOHNSON + PERSONALITY TESTSCANCER | ENFP | GRYFFINDOR | TYPE TWO | PRIEST
DAISY JOHNSON + PERSONALITY TESTSCANCER | ENFP | GRYFFINDOR | TYPE TWO | PRIEST | CHOLERIC | CHAOTIC GOOD | FIRE | OAK // DO NOT REBLOG.NOTE: this is extremely text-heavy and will likely get very, very rambly — be warned !!WORDCOUNT: 6,800CANCER - THE CRABJune 21 - July 22Compassionate and Family Oriented: Those born under the sign of Cancer, ruled by the mysterious Moon, are one of the zodiac’s enigmas. It is fair to say that most Cancers are a bundle of contradictions. Compassionate and caring with friends, family and lovers, yet they can cut to the bone with their jealous remarks and ever-changing moods. Endearingly eccentric on one hand, and on the other, insecure about how others see them. Like their astrological symbol - the Crab - Cancers can appear hard and insensitive on the outside. However, for those of us who know and love a “Moon Child”, we understand that deep below lies a softness and sensitivity that makes them so very special. Nurturing, protection and caring for others underline the life principles of this water sign.Compassion and empathy are some of the main pillars of Daisy’s personality – she is a person who cares deeply about people and forms close bonds with others ( despite the part of her that fears abandonment wanting to keep them at arms’ length. ) In more recent seasons of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., she’s put up a sort of guard and in some cases can come off cool or distant ( “ Cancers can appear hard and insensitive on the outside. ” ) but she’s never quite managed to close her emotions off completely, and will often soften when her friends or those in need are involved. And despite growing up without one, family as a concept and ideal has always been extremely important to Daisy. For twenty-six years, her life revolved around the idea of finding her birth parents, and that became her sole driving factor until she found a family of her own with her team at S.H.I.E.L.D. ( “ S.H.I.E.L.D. was the closest I ever came to having a family […] ” —2x17, Melinda ) This concept of family doesn’t have to be defined by blood relation, because despite how important finding her birth parents was to her, it’s clear that her S.H.I.E.L.D. family is of equal importance. She is not incapable of working alone, and has done so by necessity multiple times, but it’s obvious that having people close to her, being surrounded by loved ones, is where she is at her happiest.Emotional and Sensitive: Just as the Moon goes through many changes as it moves from its new to full phases, Cancers too go through many new and full phases of experience. Life doesn’t stand still for this sign, even if they remain in one place, because they live so much in their internal oceans of emotions. Their link with the Moon often makes it impossible for them to operate on an even keel from day to day. Up and down like the proverbial yo-yo, most Cancerians feel one way one minute, then sometimes totally different the next. But this characteristic is part of their charm.Daisy has changed numerous times throughout her life, both physically and mentally / emotionally, sometimes to adapt to a situation and sometimes as a direct result of her experiences. In just the series alone, we’ve seen her change drastically — she began as a plucky, upbeat and optimistic hacker looking solely for information about her past, to a seasoned and seemingly emotionless field agent hellbent on taking down a terrorist organization, to a literal pseudo-alien superhero, to a rogue vigilante. Girl’s been through some stuff ; change happens, and is a very prevalent part of her existence. That’s not even all the change she’s experienced in her life, that’s only what we’ve seen on the show. She grew up with constant change, even saying herself, “ I’m twenty-five and I’ve never spent more than two years anywhere. ” [ —2x17, Melinda ] The only constant in her life was the fact that there are no constants.( Another instance of much more physical and literal change would be her undergoing Terrigenesis and its’ aftereffects. )Romantic and Mysterious: Love and romance matter more than anything else to this sign (but this occasionally shares first place with having lots of money in the bank). No other sign romances better, equally though, no sign takes it so badly when romance turns sour either. But with their changeable natures Cancerians are fascinating, mysterious, stimulating and extremely alluring. This sign is one of the most magic of all and once their magic has reached you, they are the most beguiling companions. After all, isn’t the Moon the most talked about and romantic galactic identity?Romance isn’t actually all that paramount to Daisy, and in the context of the show she’s only really been through one canon and confirmed romance ( if you ignore Miles since their relationship within the timeline of the show was only seen in like … an episode. I tend to forget about Miles. ) That isn’t to say she doesn’t care about it or is adverse to it, but given her lifestyle and both trust and abandonment issues, well. She may wear her heart on her sleeve, but she doesn’t like to give it up easily ; she’s either just looking for some fun and to let off some steam, or she’s looking for something longterm and lasting, and when it’s the latter, she has to be sure she’s not going to get burned. That being said, when she does want to pursue a romantic relationship, she’s smooth as fuck while doing it. Like, flirt game strong tho. ( LOOK AT HER !! HER MAN’S CONFLICTED AND SHE JUST WHIPS OFF HER TOP AND SPORTS BRA IN ONE GO IN FRONT OF GOD AND EVERYONE !!! THE BEDROOM DOOR WAS STILL OPEN !!! SHE DIDN’T GIVE A SINGLE SOLITARY SHIT !!! GIRL KNOWS WHAT SHE FUCKING WANTS AND SHE GOES FOR IT !!! )“ […] no sign takes it so badly when romance turns sour either. ” If there is one thing Daisy finds it near impossible to forgive, it’s betrayal. This doesn’t have to be strictly romantic, she takes any betrayal to be a high offense, but she has dealt specifically with two instances of betrayal with romantic ( or prospective ) partners, and officially forgiven neither. When her boyfriend, Miles Lydon, betrayed both their ideals by selling sensitive information and endangering a man’s life, Daisy was horrified and disgusted and immediately broke off their relationships and cut all ties with him. The most serious and gut-wrenching betrayal was that of Grant Ward, and that ended with her shooting him four times in the back as soon as she got the chance, so.ENFP - THE CAMPAIGNERExtraverted iNtuitive Feeling PerceivingENFPs are people-centered creators with a focus on possibilities and a contagious enthusiasm for new ideas, people and activities. Energetic, warm, and passionate, ENFPs love to help other people explore their creative potential. […] ENFPs are typically agile and expressive communicators, using their wit, humor, and mastery of language to create engaging stories. ( x )ENFPs are both “idea”-people and “people”-people, who see everyone and everything as part of a cosmic whole. They want to both help and to be liked and admired by other people, on both an individual and a humanitarian level. This is rarely a problem for the ENFP, as they are outgoing and warm, and genuinely like people. ( x )Daisy has always been a people-person, despite several stints working / living alone, and forms bonds with people quickly, even when she does her best not to. She bonded quickly with her team, despite a certain wariness of her intentions and background, and has been quick to become protective over several civilians ( Ace Peterson, Hannah Hutchins 1x09, Charles Hinton 3x15, etc. ) and her fellow Inhumans.ENFPs often have strong, if sometimes surprising, values and viewpoints. They tend to try to use their social skills and contacts to persuade others gently (though enthusiastically) of the rightness of these views; this sometimes results in the ENFP neglecting their nearest and dearest while caught up their efforts to change the world. ( x )“Peruvians have organized for the first time in decades. Thousands of suffering people who have never met uniting over a common idea? It’s mind-blowing. And I don’t want to bring it up because I don’t want to see your hate face, but… that’s what the Rising Tide is all about. Usually, one person doesn’t have the solution. But one hundred people with one percent of the solution? That’ll get it done. I think that’s beautiful –– pieces solving a puzzle.” Skye, 1x02, 0-8-4Daisy’s views have always been strong, and she’s always strongly defended them. Being part of the Rising Tide was a radical and frowned upon notion, but she believed in the work that she was doing, and would thusly try to gently sway people to see things from her point of view, to understand where she was coming from. And, more times than not, this actually works –– maybe it’s her charisma, or maybe it’s the hopeful optimism, but people tend to believe see her side of things, or at the very least want to.ENFPs are enthusiastic, idealistic, restless, and open-minded, with wide-ranging interests. Because of these personality traits, they are among the most versatile of all types, working well with both people and ideas. As Extraverts they are not opposed to action, while as Intuitives, they are not opposed to reflection. In this sense, ENFPs represent a sort of hybrid between Introverts and Extraverts. ( x )ENFPs are among the least judgmental and most inclusive of all types, both inwardly and outwardly. Much like INFPs, they are champions of diversity and multiculturalism. Their Extraverted Intuition (Ne) allows them to readily see different points of view, while their Introverted Feeling (Fi) supplies a sense of empathy and respect for individuality. ( x )While she is actually somewhat prone to snap-judgements, she’s more open to adapting or changing those judgements if she’s given evidence or good reason to the contrary ( she made assumptions and judgements about almost every member of her team when she first met them, but easily changed her views when she was shown she was wrong. this only extends so far, as she can stubbornly cling to her opinions when she feels she’s in the right, as with her hatred of Ward and Raina. )Daisy is a proud biracial and bisexual Inhuman woman, and does not hide that fact. She heavily campaigns for her fellow Inhumans, and is a fierce advocate for them and their rights. She’s never been one to shy away from calling out racists or bigots, and even spent her time as a vigilante actively hunting down fascist groups and putting an end to their hate.Strengths:Curious – When it comes to new ideas, ENFPs aren’t interested in brooding – they want to go out and experience things, and don’t hesitate to step out of their comfort zones to do so. ENFPs are imaginative and open-minded, seeing all things as part of a big, mysterious puzzle called life.“ Usually, one person doesn’t have the solution. But one hundred people with one percent of the solution? That’ll get it done. I think that’s beautiful — pieces solving a puzzle. ” – Skye, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 1x02, 0-8-4Observant – ENFPs believe that there are no irrelevant actions, that every shift in sentiment, every move and every idea is part of something bigger. To satisfy their curiosity, ENFPs try to notice all of these things, and to never miss a moment.Energetic and Enthusiastic – As they observe, forming new connections and ideas, ENFPs won’t hold their tongues – they’re excited about their findings, and share them with anyone who’ll listen. This infectious enthusiasm has the dual benefit of giving ENFPs a chance to make more social connections, and of giving them a new source of information and experience, as they fit their new friends’ opinions into their existing ideas.Excellent Communicators – It’s a good thing that ENFPs have such strong people skills, or they’d never express these ideas. ENFPs enjoy both small talk and deep, meaningful conversations, which are just two sides of the same coin for them, and are adept at steering conversations towards their desired subjects in ways that feel completely natural and unforced.Know How to Relax – It’s not all “nature of the cosmos” discussions with ENFPs – people with this personality type know that sometimes, nothing is as important as simply having fun and experiencing life’s joys. That Intuitive trait lets ENFPs know that it’s time to shake things up ( EDIT: lmao puns ) , and these wild bursts of enthusiastic energy can surprise even their closest friends.Very Popular and Friendly – All this adaptability and spontaneity comes together to form a person who is approachable, interesting and exciting, with a cooperative and altruistic spirit and friendly, empathetic disposition. ENFPs get along with pretty much everyone, and their circles of friends stretch far and wide.Weaknesses:Poor Practical Skills – When it comes to conceiving ideas and starting projects, especially involving other people, ENFPs have exceptional talent. Unfortunately their skill with upkeep, administration, and follow-through on those projects struggles. Without more hands-on people to help push day-to-day things along, ENFPs’ ideas are likely to remain just that – ideas.Find it Difficult to Focus – ENFPs are natural explorers of interpersonal connections and philosophy, but this backfires when what needs to be done is that TPS report sitting right in front of them. It’s hard for ENFPs to maintain interest as tasks drift towards routine, administrative matters, and away from broader concepts.Overthink Things – ENFPs don’t take things at face value – they look for underlying motives in even the simplest things. It’s not uncommon for ENFPs to lose a bit of sleep asking themselves why someone did what they did, what it might mean, and what to do about it.Get Stressed Easily – All this overthinking isn’t just for their own benefit – ENFPs, especially Turbulent ones, are very sensitive, and care deeply about others’ feelings. A consequence of their popularity is that others often look to them for guidance and help, which takes time, and it’s easy to see why ENFPs sometimes get overwhelmed, especially when they can’t say yes to every request.Highly Emotional – While emotional expression is healthy and natural, with ENFPs even viewing it as a core part of their identity, it can come out strongly enough to cause problems for this personality type. Particularly when under stress, criticism or conflict, ENFPs can experience emotional bursts that are counter-productive at best.Independent to a Fault – ENFPs loathe being micromanaged and restrained by heavy-handed rules – they want to be seen as highly independent masters of their own fates, even possessors of an altruistic wisdom that goes beyond draconian law. The challenge for ENFPs is that they live in a world of checks and balances, a pill they are not happy to swallow.GRYFFINDOR“You might belong in Gryffindor,Where dwell the brave at heart,Their daring, nerve, and chivalrySet Gryffindors apart”—The Sorting HatHogwarts sorting is always a difficult one, because most people fit multiple houses and their determining factor ultimately comes down to their ideals. Daisy could easily be placed in Hufflepuff ( loyal, fair, hard-working ), or even Slytherin ( resourceful, cunning, determined ), but I think she’d be sorted into Gryffindor based both on her traits and ideals.Upholding what is good and right and protecting the innocent are two of Daisy’s driving forces, which is what places her in Gryffindor over the other possible houses. In addition, she holds all the core Gryffindor traits ( bravery, daring, nerve, chivalry, and courage. )Now, a lot of those traits are pretty synonymous with one another, and being brave doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t be place in Hufflepuff or Slytherin or Ravenclaw, but what sets Gryffindors apart in their bravery is that they’re reckless and impulsive about it.TYPE TWO - THE HELPERBasic Fear: Of being unwanted, unworthy of being lovedBasic Desire: To feel lovedPeople of this personality type essentially feel that they are worthy insofar as they are helpful to others. Love is their highest ideal. Selflessness is their duty. Giving to others is their reason for being. Involved, socially aware, usually extroverted, Twos are the type of people who remember everyone’s birthday and who go the extra mile to help out a co-worker, spouse or friend in need. ( x )Daisy has always put others before herself, and not just humanity as a whole, but the individual as well. People are so important to her, and she will do anything within her power to help them, even if she doesn’t know them. This stems a bit from a lack of self worth, but selflessness and the desire to help others has always been a pillar of Daisy’s personality. If it means she can save even one person, she will lay down her life to do it, without hesitation.Because Twos are generally helping others meet their needs, they can forget to take care of their own. This can lead to physical burnout, emotional exhaustion and emotional volatility. Twos need to learn that they can only be of true service to others if they are healthy, balanced and centered in themselves. ( x )Daisy can be somewhat one track minded, especially when she’s focused on a mission or other goal, and will push herself past her physical and emotional limits even when she knows the risks it poses. She’s impulsive and reckless, even more-so when others’ safety is at stake, and will put her life on the line without question or hesitation. But a broken down Daisy is no use to anyone, and she needs to learn and accept that she can’t push herself to the breaking point constantly –– she can’t help anyone if she’s dead.Twos excel at making connections and empathizing with the needs and feelings of others. Focused on relationships, they are good at supporting others, but find it difficult to turn their attention toward themselves and their own needs. Emotionally sensitive, they want to be accepted and liked by others, and will adapt or change to earn this approval. Setting personal boundaries can be challenging, and they sometimes relieve the pressure through emotional outbursts. ( x )Defense mechanismRepression – suppressing “unacceptable” feelings and converting them into a more acceptable form of emotional energyTwos use repression of personal needs and feelings to avoid being needy and to maintain a helpful self-image. Their genuine need for connection takes the form of “you need me.” ( x )Something to note is that Daisy’s self worth is … pretty low, all things considered. There has been progress, and there have been set-backs, but overall she needs to feel useful to feel important, and having a cause or helping individuals in need is when she feels most useful. But she doesn’t help people to make her feel better about herself –– she helps them because she knows it’s the right thing to do, and feels as thought it’s her calling. When she does hit a low, she generally keeps it to herself. Outwardly, it could be obvious to those who know her that something is off, but she shrugs off most inquiries or offers of help and doesn’t always feel comfortable sharing what’s bothering her. Over the years, she’s become better at opening up in that regard, especially with her team and others she’s close to, but she still struggles with feeling like sharing, or even acknowledging, those problems is a burden to those around her. In her mind, her problems are just that –– her problem. In some cases, she just flat ignores what she’s feeling, some she runs from it, and others she tries to simply deal with on her own. This is only partly because she doesn’t want to burden others, but it is also partly because she’s dealt with so much on her own for so long, that she simply doesn’t realize just how much her friends, her family, is willing to do for her. And after the events of season three, most of her just believes she doesn’t deserve help.THE PRIESTYou are a Priest. You are an inspiring, charismatic person with natural leadership abilities. It is important to you to have a cause or mission, and you are good at rallying other people to help. Friends and sometimes strangers open their hearts and reveal their problems to you. Counseling them and seeing them grow or heal gives you great joy. You are filled with compassion for suffering humanity and want to help all the sad, troubled and lonely people. You attract friends and romantic partners easily, but sometimes feel more at home in a group than an intimate relationship. Your work needs to give you the opportunity to shine and make a difference, preferably for a cause you believe in.Daisy has always been an incredibly driven individual, and has always had a goal or driving force behind her determination. In season one, it was finding her parents, in season two it was helping Coulson and the team rebuild SHIELD and take down Hydra. Season three is really where we see her finding her calling, helping new Inhumans and building her own team, becoming a leader. Andrew Garner: Look, you are laser-focused on finding members for this team. I understand the need for these ‘‘Secret Warriors’’, but-Daisy Johnson: No, it’s more than that. When I changed, I felt like a monster. I needed help. This is a chance to show people they have a place to belong.( 3x02, Purpose In The Machine )Once she decided that helping her fellow Inhumans was what she wanted to do, Daisy wasn’t going to let it go. These were her people, and many of them were going through this spontaneous and frightening change by themselves without anyone to guide them, like she did. So maybe it wasn’t so much an active decision as it was a calling, an unspoken duty. Perhaps it could be argued that she felt it was the mantle being passed down from her mother, and maybe it is, but I think the moment Daisy found out about these new Inhuman, she knew in her heart that she had to help them, so no one would have to feel as scared or as monstrous as she did when she first changed.“ For one reason or another, each of us has been given a gift. Let’s put ’em to good use. ” – Daisy Johnson, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 3x17, The Team‘ You are an inspiring, charismatic person with natural leadership abilities […] and you are good at rallying other people to help. ’ In The Team, we see her do just that, by calling in her fellow Secret Warriors for a rescue mission. Despite their lack of plan, they follow her without hesitation. This isn’t the only example of Daisy’s leadership skills, and she’s always been more of a leader than a follower ( working together with her team is one thing, but it’s glaringly obvious that she doesn’t do well with authority. ) Even at the beginning of the series, we see her rallying people together and inspiring them, giving them hope so they could all achieve their intended goal.Priests are the cardinal inspiration Role, responsible for values, morals and ethics in society. They are visionaries who provide charismatic leadership to groups of people, uniting them in an enterprise, cause or belief system. Wherever they work, they want to make a difference.Daisy has always been incredibly moral and idealistic, such as shown from her idealizing of superheroes in the first season, and her fierce and rigid belief in upholding goodness and morality, even when faced with opposition close to home. She has never wavered in her beliefs, and will fiercely defend those beliefs to anyone who might question or threaten them.“ I want Inhumans taking action with S.H.I.E.L.D. to see that being different can mean making a difference. ” – Daisy Johnson, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 3x02, Purpose In The MachineMaking a difference in the world has always been a large theme in Daisy’s character. From the very beginning, she wanted to make a difference for the better, and that eventually branches off into wanting to help others achieve their potential to make a difference. No matter what, she wants to help people and to help change the world.CHOLERICThis was perhaps the most difficult to sort, as Daisy doesn’t necessarily fit with only one of the four temperaments. I could see her as Sanguine as well, but I think that mainly fits with season one Skye as opposed to season two onward, where Choleric feels more apt.Cholerics are tough, strong, and focused. They set their minds on a goal and strive to achieve it, to get things done. They do not back down when challenged.Daisy is s t u b b o r n. When she’s set her mind to something, whether it be a task, an opinion, or idea, she rarely changes it. This may be irritating for some, but it’s particularly useful when projects or tasks need to get done as she oftentimes does not stop until they’re completed. When she wants to do something, she gets it done, and doesn’t let anything or anyone stop her.Cholerics are not afraid to speak their minds. They want to have influence and control over the world, to make themselves known. As natural leaders, if someone’s doing something that they don’t like, they’ll stop them. If they want something, they’ll get it.Daisy: We’re not monsters! You can’t just lock us up in some ice prison because you don’t know what else to do.Coulson: No one’s talking prison. And, technically, it’s a gel matrix.Daisy: They’re putting people in stasis!Coulson: Think of it as a medically induced coma, a way to hit the pause button until we find a better solution.Daisy: A better solution. What does that mean?Coulson: The ATCU’s looking for a cure. I’m not suggesting that’s for everyone, because it’s not, but some people might want to-Daisy: We are not a disease.Coulson: I didn’t say that you were.Daisy: You can’t just expect people to go through that kind of change and immediately have a handle on it. Do you remember how scared I was at first?Coulson: Yes. I also remember you [tranquilized] yourself so that you wouldn’t hurt any of us. You’ve got to admit, things are getting out of hand.Daisy: I know.Coulson: People are changing in uncontrolled environments-Daisy: I know, but everyone deserves a chance to be who they are. — 3x07, Chaos TheoryThere are very few times when Daisy has kept her opinions to herself, and when she does it’s usually with gritted teeth or a sarcastic smile. She feels justified and almost self-righteous in her beliefs, and won’t apologize for them. When something or someone is doing something she sees as a direct conflict with her beliefs, she’ll tell them point blank, and isn’t above arguing to get her point across. When she feels strongly about something, she does not hold back.Cholerics remember their enemies, their rivals, as they assert their power by making any who wrong them deeply regret doing so. They honour their friendships, keep their promises, as any good leader should. One of the most important things to Daisy is loyalty –– she is a loyal friend through and through and always puts the needs of her friends over her own, without question or complaint. ( A topic I may come to later is the fact that her own self worth is critically low, and taking care of / supporting others makes her feel good –– but even then, she’s still not doing it for herself. She is absolutely selfless to a Fault. But again, I’ll expand on that another time. )Now, when someone gets on her bad side, they’ve got pretty good reason to worry. She most certainly holds a grudge, and she certainly has the means and capability to enact revenge should she wish to ( gestures to the time she shot Ward four times in the back. ) If she truly believes someone deserves it, she’ll make them feel her fury –– however, there have been times where she moves on, realizes that her anger or hurt is not even worth the energy, so she leaves that anger to someone else. She can be forgiving, and has been, within reason.Where Daisy varies from typical Cholerics is that she is unconcerned with being Number One or ‘the boss’. She makes a good leader, but she doesn’t particularly care about being one –– that is to say, she doesn’t necessarily feel the ambition to be one. She wants to be a leader in the way she wants to help others ; she wants to lead her people because they need someone to lead them, but she doesn’t feel a fierce competitiveness or drive to be ‘on top’.CHAOTIC GOODA chaotic good character acts as his conscience directs him with little regard for what others expect of him. He makes his own way, but he’s kind and benevolent. He believes in goodness and right but has little use for laws and regulations. He hates it when people try to intimidate others and tell them what to do. He follows his own moral compass, which, although good, may not agree with that of society.Daisy has always worked around or even outside of the law — she follows the rules when it suits her, but overall finds such regulations to be constricting, slow, and oftentimes biased. When she needs to, she has no qualms bending the rules, or even ignoring them entirely. It’s always for a good cause, but her methods are ones that might make government officials a bit irritated — she’s kind of like a modern day, crime-fighting, hacking, superhero robin hood. That can, y’know, cause earthquakes.“ I don’t know how I feel about being back – the rules, regulations. ” —Daisy Johnson, 4x09, Laws of Inferno DynamicsEven now, after she’s been with S.H.I.E.L.D. for four years, she has problems working within the confines of their protocols. There were many physical and emotional hardships in being a vigilante, but working on her own terms made it easier and provided a certain amount of freedom ( despite being a wanted fugitive. ) Being back at S.H.I.E.L.D. may come as an emotional relief, but she certainly isn’t looking forward to playing by their rules again and will likely bend as many as she can get away with.FIREIf I were to judge this based on what element coincides with her astrology, it would be water, and while I do believe that fits in many ways, I’ve decided that the element of FIRE fits Daisy the most overall.A Fire person appears to be always connected to a higher power. He or she has a strong personality and great charisma and is constantly forward-looking and open to new impulses, inspiring, enticing and goal-oriented with great willpower and drive. If everything goes according to plan, they are successful and an inspiration to their staff. They express great personal drive and kindness towards others.Whether she wants to admit it or not, Daisy has always been a leader, and has always had the determination and compassion needed to urge her companions forward and achieve her goals. She’s inspirational, passionate, kind and empathetic, while also being strong, driven, and willing to do what needs to be done.Fire is also symbolic of total consumption and transformation. I read a quote somewhere in Manly P. Hall’s book The Secret Teachings of All Ages. He wrote: “Nothing touched by fire is left unchanged.” Fire consumes. It morphs everything in its path. Your fire qualities like passion, assertion, action are all admirable. Used wrongly, however, can lead to unhealthy avenues. Fire can get out of control, and so too can your Celtic zodiac sign nature if not nurtured and tended to. Ironically, a fire out of control can also promote healing. A forest fire is devastating, sure. But the ashes left by the raging fire are quite nutritive. New forests that form after a fire tend to come back twice as strong and hearty. ( taken from an unrelated celtic zodiac sign, but their passage on fire is relevant. )As I’ve mentioned before, Daisy is constantly changing and facing the effects of the change around her ; she is something akin to a phoenix, rising from the ashes of her former selves. Each time something horrible or life changing happens and she fears it will overcome her, she rises back even stronger than before. While at her core she remains the same, each new wave of experiences leaves her changed in some way –– she is never quite the same person she was before, and so, in a way, she is being reborn. This passage also helps highlight Daisy’s optimism: ‘ A forest fire is devastating, sure. But the ashes left by the raging fire are quite nutritive. New forests that form after a fire tend to come back twice as strong and hearty. ’ This describes Daisy as a person, and also describes her usual thought process. She’s the type of person to find the bright side, the silver lining to every dark situation. Granted, this ability and her optimism by extension have taken a hit in recent years, but I think some part of it will always remain, if not in regards to herself then in regards to others. She will always have faith in the people she cares about, and some part of her will always strive to help people find the good in themselves.OAK - THE STABILIZERJune 10 - July 7Those born under the Celtic tree astrology sign of the Oak have a special gift of strength. They are protective people and often become a champion for those who do not have a voice. In other words, the Oak is the crusader and the spokesperson for the underdog. Nurturing, generous and helpful, you are a gentle giant among the Celtic zodiac signs. You exude an easy confidence and naturally assume everything will work out to a positive outcome. You have a deep respect for history and ancestry, and many people with this sign become teachers. You love to impart your knowledge of the past to others. Oak signs have a need for structure, and will often go to great lengths to gain the feeling of control in their lives. Healthy Oak signs live long, full, happy lives and enjoy large family settings and are likely to be involved with large social/community networks. From day one, Daisy has been in support of the underdogs –– hell, she’s been one. She cares deeply about people, their humanity, and would fight to the metaphorical ( or literal ) death to protect them. She knows what it’s like to be beat down, chewed up, and spit back out by both the world and the crueler people in it, and she would do anything to prevent that from happening to anyone else. First and foremost, she is a guardian and protector. The Celtic meaning of the oak tree deals with symbolic themes of durability, purity and constancy. Here are a few other meanings associated with the oak…LifeStrengthWisdomNobilityFamilyLoyaltyPowerLongevityHeritageHonorFamily, Loyalty, Heritage –– these three things have all held great importance in Daisy’s life from the very beginning. Family is a recurring theme in her narrative, both in that she’s spent her entire life trying to find the one she’s lost, and in that she finds families in other people ( her team, her friends, SHIELD as a whole, etc. ) Loyalty is one of the most important things to her, both as a personal trait and a trait in those around her. She is loyal to a fault, and does not forgive betrayal easily. Heritage is shown to be important to her through the discovery and reuniting of her and her parents, the adopting of her birth name, and her kinship with the Inhuman race as a whole. Regardless of any faults Jiaying may have had or any difference they shared, Daisy accepts the mantle her mother inadvertently passes down to her as a sort of messiah for the Inhumans. The oak’s status was (and still is) undeniable. Further merit to its regal presence is its tendency to attract lightning. ( me: thinks about static quake & grunts like i’ve been shot )BONUS: CELTIC ZODIAC - THE WRENYou grace the zodiac with special qualities. Stuff like loyalty, passion and imagination. There is so much you have to offer the rest of the world. The trick for you is to recognize your value…really believe in yourself so that you may soar to new heights of self-expression.Speaking of self-expression, you really don’t have a problem with speaking your mind, per se. However, you often choose to withhold sharing your thoughts and ideas. That isn’t to say you’re not expressive. You know how to demonstrate your position. Just like your Celtic zodiac sign, the wren, you chose creative ways to share yourself and your views. The wren is renowned for its elaborate, complex song. It’s been hailed as one of the loveliest music-makers in the bird realm. You are too. You sing a song of devotion, creativity and loyalty. If you love something or someone, you show it in tender ways. You craft your own sweet song that you sing in terms of nurturing, providing and caring for others.Wren song is extremely variable. They seem to use every pitch on the scale in their music. You do too, but your pitch is emotion. You play your emotions like Mozart pounded the piano. Meaning, you use every key available to unlock emotional doors. This is a highly specialized skill. It means you are more in tune with emotions than most people. It can also mean challenges. Sometimes you may feel so emotionally overwhelmed, it’s hard to sort everything out. You’re challenge is to resist feeling controlled by your emotions. Rather, identify the melody of your feelings, and try to let them roll in harmonic ways.Another interesting point about your Celtic zodiac sign is in your contradictions. Like the wren, you value home life. The wren rarely migrates like other birds. Nope. Once it finds a spot, it’s tendency is to burrow in and stay there. In fact, some species of wrens are called Troglodytes, which means cave-dweller, or burrowers. You can relate to that, dear one. You appreciate the comfort of home. Your home is your safe place, and above almost everything else - security is vitally important to you. But this isn’t to say you don’t venture out. You do, when you have to. And when you must move out of your comfort zone, you do so with stoic bravery. Wrens do too. They may be tiny, but they move boldly. In fact, they are one of the highest flying birds of the avian clan. This points out another contradiction about you: You’d love to stay comfortably nested…but when you must branch out, you do so in bold, high-flying strokes.Being unpredictable isn’t a bad thing in your case, dear wren. As mentioned, security is a big deal for you. Consequently, you tend to be very self protective. You don’t like the idea of feeling vulnerable. The irony in this is that you’re incredibly sensitive. Most people who know you would be surprised to learn that your feelings are easily hurt. You don’t often show this about yourself, but little things can really cause you emotional pain. The bright side of this is that you’re very skilled at finding ways to prevent damage. You might do this by stocking up on supplies in the event of a bad storm. Or, you might make back-up plans to insure you and your loved ones are cared-for in case disaster strikes. Emotionally, you can build up barricades to protect your feelings. Like the wren, you’re super-sensitive to threat, and you make plans to avoid them at all cost.I don’t think I’m going to write anything for this last one because it’s just a bonus, and it’s long, and frankly it feels pretty self explanatory. -- source link
