dance with me - a dipper/pacifica ficDippica Week: Day Six - PromDrawing by: @iamjoemom / @mygfblogStory by: @diisco–girl(A/N) A day late (again ^^; but it’s here!)Hell hath no fury like Pacifica Elise Northwest angry to the tenth degree. “You.” Swing. “Are not.” Swing, swing. “Ruining.” Particularly beautiful swing. “My.” Swing to a twirl of her fancy steps. “Prom!” Given all technicality of the situation, it wasn’t her prom– hell, it wasn’t even Dipper’s prom– but still, Lady Evangeline’s All Girls Boarding School didn’t have prom and Dipper had bailed on his because he didn’t have a date (it was hard when your girlfriend attended school almost in the other side of the country) and had went on a mini road trip with his friends. So when Candy and Grenda suggested they should all go to their prom, Pacifica wasn’t going to let queen-seeking kidnapping gnomes get in the way. “Come on, toots!” One of them screeched, tugging at the foot of her dress. “You’d make a beautiful queen, diamonds, rubies, the works!” “No thank you!” She said, managing to kick that one away. When the gnomes had taken over her limousine– she hopes poor Jacques didn’t get involved in this mess– Pacifica notices that she had made the right choice in picking up the biggest, longest branch and using it as a bat. “You munchkins better have tiny body bags or I swear I’m chucking all of your bodies into the lake!” Okay so maybe she was exaggerating, but still. “Jesus,” One of the gnomes says, still climbing up her arm, which she smacked against a tree trunk. “Lady, we just wanna make you our queen.” “Not interested!” She screeches , feeling one crawl up her back and she will be damned if anyone is going to ruin her hair. So whirling around, she manages to batch five gnomes back with the swinging of her branch and yanking the gnome off her back. “Like, at all! Didn’t you guys try this on Mabel?” “Oh and that one was fiery,” One of them– probably Jeff if she remembers the story right– says as he tells the others ones to climb down. “Her and her brother ruined all of our plans.” “And if you don’t let me go right this second,” Pacifica says, hunching down and summoning all of the courage she can, the hurricane forming in her blue blue eyes. “I’m going to show you and all your little buddies what the Northwests really do when we’re bloodthirsty.” And the gnomes back off, a terrified look to her eyes. Good, She thinks as all the vengeful fury descends into a calming sense of control. They should be scared me. “Okay, okay, we’re sorry,” Jeff says once again, calling them all to back off. “Is there anything we can do to make up for this?” Pacifica grins. “Oh, I can think of a few things.” She’s late… and he tries not feeling like absolute crap. “Chin up, bro bro,” Mabel says, shimmying her way towards her brother as the music blared loudly, dancing with one girl or another. “She’s probably just caught in traffic.” “But what if–” “She’s not ditching you, Dipper,” Candy says, being twirled by her date as she giggles. “She was too excited when I invited her.”“Yeah,” Grenda answers, throwing her answer into the ring as well, Marius beside her offering him a sympathetic smile as well. “Stop overthinking! Stand up and have fun.” Sighing, Dipper places a hand on his chin as he fidgets around with the corsage he got for her. He’d bought it white, just in case, since she hadn’t told him what color her dress was, saying she wanted to surprise him. White goes with everything, right? The music blasts, lights strobing on and off when the doors blow open, showing a deep breathing Pacifica; hair slightly askew and dress slightly dirty, but other than that, she looked regal– taking his breath away. “Dipper Pines,” She says in a commanding voice that goes nearly directed to his entire body. Bossy. “Dance. Me. Now.” She says, not giving him any chance as she takes him by the wrist and nearly yanks him out of the table, Dipper chuckling behind her. “Are you okay?” He asks, both half worried and half amused. How did Pacifica managed to look as radiant as she did while still being a bit battered up. “What happened on your way here?” “Gnomes, queenship, whatever,” She huffs, when the song slows as he places a hand on her lower back, just like his grunkles taught him. “Managed to beat them up into bringing me here, don’t worry. I totally looked like an Amazon Queen.” Dipper chuckles, biting his lower lip at the image. “I bet you did.” Pacifica rolls her eyes as she wraps her arms around his head, pushing in closer. “I wasn’t gonna let those jerks ruin our prom.” “You do realize it’s–” “Blah, blah, statistics,” She says, grinning at him and maybe it was the adrenaline in her veins or the way he looked in that tux but Pacifica could eat him up. “Just dance with me, Pines.” Dipper kisses her forehead, which yes, was a bit sweaty but hell, she’d literally fought gnomes to be here with him. Chuckling, he picks her chin up and laughs before softly kissing her. “You’re the worst.” -- source link
