East End Thift Store and their Fill A Bag Jumble Sale Weekend. This Sunday, I ventured far East (of London… what? I live South London?) following Time Out London’s recommendation of things to do this weekend. As much as I love my museums and art exhibitions, it was the East End Thift Store’s Fill A Bag Jumble Sale Weekend that really caught my eye. I enter the thrift store (essentially a converted warehouse; home to one of London’s largest, and cheapest, vintage stores) and was directed upstairs where I was advised that large bags were now just £10 (medium bags are normally £10 whilst large bags - approximately the size of a bin bag - were £20). I was then allowed to go wild and stuff the bag full of denim jackets, shirts, jumpers, jeans, dresses and accessories. Admitedly, by the Sunday, you really did have to rummage to find something both clean and workable but it was worth it. I split the bag with my friend and together we bought: four pairs of Levis jeans (to turn into cut-off shorts), two denim jackets, three jumpers, two shirts and a belt. For £10. Need I say anymore? Apart from that I proceeded to rummage the Thrift Store downstairs and buy five blouses for £25… Visit the East End Thrift Store’s Facebook page and keep an eye out for their future Jumble Sale events. Also tweet me @CassiusIsOver if you want to see what I bought! full of Denim Jackets, Flannel Shirts, Dresses, Leather and Suede Jackets, Knits, Velvet Dresses, and Tonnes MORE!
