Halloween at Zuisen Temple! This is another local temple that I stopped by on October 31st. I was struck by the statues of Shinran and his wife Eshinni at the entrance, and the famous bell that is a designated cultural treasure in Joetsu. The preschool right next store seems to be working in tandem. I noticed some playground equipment in the temple yard. Just as I was leaving, I noticed the huge cemetery attached to the temple.
