booksncoffee:the lonely hearts club, chapter eight, coming April 10th“Alexandra, hey.” David’s relieved voice washes over her like a sip of warm coffee down her throat and she hates it. Hates how his voice instantly fills her with warmth and familiarity and comfort. “I wasn’t sure if you’d answer.”“David,” Alexandra manages to say through the lump in her throat. “Is everything okay?”“I… Yeah, everything’s okay,” David answers, “Are you back home already?” Alexandra frowns, “Yeah?”“You told me you’d leave in the afternoon,” he reminds her. She knows David won’t be standing outside of her parents’ home, but still, the mere idea of it sends her frayed pulse hammering in different directions. Swallowing, she asks another question, “Are you still there?”“No, no,” David replies, laughing nervously. She can feel the sound down to her bones. “I already left. I just… I was hoping I would run into you before you left.”“Why?”catch up on tumblr // wattpad // taglist -- source link
