Before leaving Hiroshima (we had only booked one night there), we got around to trying Okonomiyaki for the first time. This dish, often wrongly dubbed “Japanese Pizza” is common in all of Japan, but especially the Kansai Region and Hiroshima are known for the best. What you see here on the pic is a pile of cabbage, soy sprouts, noodles and spring onions that have been prepared on a griddle, then topped with a fried egg and sauce, also mayonnaise. It’s really just a whole lot of stuff mixed together but the taste was very good. We’ll definitely try the Kansai version in Osaka later :) -- source link
