My grandpa’s pistol; CZ Model 27,My grandpa is kind of getting up there in age (he turns 96 today), so he is starting to pass down some of the old treasures that he has. He offered me this pistol but I wasn’t interested so he gave it to my dad instead. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a neat pistol, but I am more into revolvers. I’ll end up inheriting it in the long run anyway.Anyway his pistol is a Czechoslovakian CZ Model 27 chambered for .32 acp. It’s a single action semi-automatic and has a magazine which holds 7 rounds. During the late 1920’s and 1930’s these pistols were the standard sidearm for the Czechoslovakian military and police. When the Germans annexed the country in 1938 they took over production of the pistol and manufactured them for the Germany military and police during World War II.Grandpa’s particular model is a German occupation pistol as it is stamped with German markings. It has a nice patina and according to my dad is functional and very accurate. My dad has plans of refinishing and restoring it, I think it would be best to let it stay in it’s original condition. Now I kind of wish a had taken this little pistol. -- source link
