cat-reactor:THIS IS A WARNING TO PEOPLE!! Yesterday I was punched in the face by a stranger while trying to go home on the muni underground in San Francisco at the Powell station. I suffered minor injuries. A laceration to my eyebrow where I bled from. The bruise on the corner of my eye from where his knuckle made contact with. And right now minor swelling and pain on the bridge of my nose and forehead. A young man who was walking out of the train I was getting on out of no where he reeled his arm back and landed one solid punch to my face. I grabbed my face and started shouting “He just fucking punched me!” He showed no remorse and even said with amusement in his voice in passing as he punched me “Whoops sorry.” and continued walking away. I didn’t know I was bleeding until my friend whom I was with shouted that I was bleeding. Looking down at my hand I hand noticed a lot of blood. Through the kindness of strangers someone had called the police and the ambulance for me. This apprently was not a “random act of violence”. It’s known as The Knockout Game, Knockout Challenge, etc. It’s a senseless act of picking a random person and trying to knock them out. I filed a police report and though I am doubtful that the man who assaulted me will be caught, but I want to give a warning to people. Please be careful. People are doing stupid, dangerous things to random strangers, and I’m lucky I didn’t fall into the train tracks, suffer from a concussion, or worse. http://www.snopes.com/politics/crime/montgomery.asphttp://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/11/26/knockout-game-myth/3729635/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knockout_game#Criticism_of_reportingYeah.
