kashuan:finelythreadedsky:men of greek mythologyme: it’s a joke post, leave it alone, you don’t need to comment on italso me: why is orestes “i was exiled as a child before even given the chance to process my father’s murder, essentially abandoned by my mother, and now have severe mental illness after being pressured by several sources, including a god, to kill her” under spineless. I could stop there given how unfortunate that is, butwhy is big ajax, who only has one scene with a woman, under ‘dumb and horny’.why is little ajax who’s most infamous for his scene with cassandra NOT in that categorywhy is menelaus spineless. he does have some scenes that he’s shown to be less aggressive than his peers but he’s also the first person to volunteer to fight hector 1v1, so he’s plenty brave when it counts. following this logic, you should also throw patroclus under spineless.why is agamemnon in spineless. man not only started the war but he is seen at the front lines of it in several chapters. i promise you there’s more characterization to agamemnon than achilles’ biased POV in book 1. (also, before we even go there, IoA’s characterization wasn’t Spineless either. being pressured by a mob, Crime and Fraud man odysseus, and God Herself, with the possibility your entire family will die if you don’t agree, doesn’t make you spineless). throw him in terrible person and i’d let that one slide but spineless makes no sense to me.why is neoptolemus under terrible person. i’m starting to get some strong tsoa vibes from this chart. neoptolemus is a dick in trojan women and a couple of later plays, but he’s also basically a cinnamon roll in philoctetes; why does one characterization take such strong precedent over the other? also he’s like. 12. give this kid who was used by the men around him a break.putting theseus in spineless given everything he’s known for is pretty ballsy tbh. i’m guessing you chose this because of the ariadne story but i’d say that’s more a case of dumb and horny then spineless. dude went to the underworld itself to be a good wingman. again, incredibly dumb, but spineless?now i’m just nitpicking, but i’d switch pelops and aegisthus. pelops got his whole damn family cursed all over again because he wanted to smash. aegisthus wanted to get vengeance and do right by his dad more than his motivations had anything to do with clytemnestra herself.but i will say for once that achilles is at least in the right section, good job on that one -- source link
