As a google reverse image search will tell you. Pic.1 - Miltenberg a. Main - Gasthaus zum Riesen, 1931 Guess what? The hotel still exists. (Wikipedia) I have no clue where pictures 2, 3, 4, 6 and 9 are supposed to be, but picture 5 is Meersburg am Bodensee/at Lake Constance. The picture was taken in 1925. I’m pretty sure No.7 is Landsberg am Lech (and yes, that town ALSO still looks Like That) and No 10 is pretty obviously Rothenburg ob der Tauber. All original pictures are from Kurt Hielscher - Deutschland. Baukunst und Lanschaft. (various editions, 1930s and 1940s.) So yes, Germany is pretty. Please come visit. But stop going all “boo hoo glorious past” like some people in the notes to this post are. -- source link
