“Don’t look at me like that,” Daryl drawled through a small smile, averting his blue eyes from yours, which were sparking with light. You laughed and bit your bottom lip, shrugging. “Like what? I’m not looking at you like anything,” you said quietly. You were gathered around the fire ring. The rest of the group was nearby, either finishing up dinner or retiring around their own fire circles.Daryl prodded the fire with the stick in his hand and glanced back up at you, one corner of his mouth twitching up. “Ya know exactly what you’re doin’,” he said. “Makin’ those eyes at me. Ya best quit.”You grinned at him, laughing again. God, how he loved that sound. The flickering firelight was casting a warm glow on your face and Daryl was feeling that warmth growing in his own chest that only you could kindle. “Or what?” you asked him quietly, still smiling. “You gonna do something about it?”The archer shook his head at you, taking in your playful expression. “Yeah, ya know I might,” he said, shooting you another look. He watched you subconsciously pull your bottom lip in between your teeth as you stared at him. His heart jumped. “Alright. That’s it,” he said, tossing the stick in his hand carelessly down into the flames. He rushed around to you on the other side of the fire and grabbed your hand as you laughed. You were happy to be pulled away from the others and into his tent for some time to yourselves…Prompt: “Don’t look at me like that.”A/N: Ya’ll deserve a happy drabble after the angst I’ve been dishing up lately! <3 -- source link
