Need some alone time? Most of us will have described somewhere as ‘the middle of nowhere’ at some point in our lives; but it probably wasn’t here. This is the real middle of nowhere. Located 2,260 kilometres from the nearest Island of Tristan da Cunha, this island, Bouvet, is truly remote as well as uninhabited. It is a shield volcano located in the South Atlantic Ocean between Africa, South America, and Antarctica, and is only 49-square-kilometres in area. -JeanImage courtesy of Landsat 8 -- source link
