hearthwitchsreadings:harvest-moon-mystic:The “Star’s Journey” Tarot Spreadby Harvest Moon MysticA New Year, a new beginning, for a lot of us, a new chapter in life is starting as we cusp adulthood. I created this spread to try to make sense of some big life changes that are happening around and within me. Here’s a basic rundown of how to complete this spread. Each life stage (nebula, red giant, supernova, and black hole) should be read separately, with all cards reshuffled into the deck after reading each stage with the execption of the nebula card which will “travel” throughout the stages as it will act like a significator for the querent. Because of the multiple reshuffles and redrawings, it will help to journal this spread as it’s interpreted so the querent can remember insights from stage to stage. Alternatively, multiple decks may be used simultaneously. We will journey through the stages in order of a star’s life cycle:A. NebulaB. Red GiantC. SupernovaD. Black HoleLet’s begin!Stage A: Nebula1. The only card in this stage will be drawn from the major arcana only, and will act as a significator for the querent. The querent may use a predestined significator if preferred. I’ve found it helpful to draw one specifically for this spread, however, as the spread is themed around deep soul changes, which may warrant a new predestined significator anyway! Leave this card out when reshuffling for the next stage.~reshuffle~Stage B: Red GiantThis stage will be drawn from both the major and minor arcanas. It is meant to represent initial challenges that the querent must overcome to grow. This stage indicates the “why” of the journey. Often, the querent will find answers to expository questions in this stage. ie–timing, persons involved, conversations, etc.1. The drawn Nebula Card (querent’s significator)2/4. Challenges the querent will overcome3/5. What growth will be procured from these challenges~reshuffle~Stage C: SupernovaThis stage will also be drawn from both arcanas. This stage is meant to be read as a snapshot of the journey that will have taken place upon its completion. This is the crux of the querent’s situation–the crisis at its most critical point. The cards in this stage are meant to be read in ascending order. We might read opposing cards as variables on the right and their resulting consequences on the left. Or more simply, as past or presently occurring events on the right, and their future outcomes on the left, across from them.1. The drawn Nebula Card (querent’s significator)2/4/6/8. Past or presently occurring variables3/5/7/9. Future consequences of the preceding variable~reshuffle~Stage D: Black HoleThe final stage of this spread will be drawn from the major arcana and will focus on the completion of the journey. I like to think of this last stage as a picture of what everything will boil down to in the end. If the Nebula Card is the querent currently, the Black Hole card is who the querent will have become by the time this life chapter is finished.1. The drawn Nebula Card (querent’s significator) 2. The central lesson that will significantly change the querentMay the New Year be good to you all, and may you find hope and blessings on every star in your sky!Trying this spread for yourself?
