Normally we have one round which is fill in the blank and the other that is prompts, but we’re going to do things a little differently starting this round. The Fall round will be the week-long round, as it seems people have more time to write more days in August/September; the February round will last two days (February 13th & February 14th) with the prompt Galentine’s Day/Valentine’s Day/Singles Awareness Day as the overarching prompt as well as a ficathon, which I will start setting up in November (I would do the ficathon earlier but I get hit with the last of posting duties and mod stuff for WIP Big Bang in July/August so it’s a pain in the butt to balance all that).This year, the featured prompts are Tropes*! I got some lovely suggestions and whittled it down to six days of tropes that you may peruse for your pleasure.It will run from August 25th, 2019 to August 31st, 2019.* As most tropes of the trope suggestions I got were shippy, most of these prompts will most likely involve a romantic relationship. However, while the below definitions show Molly dating, Molly can be an instrumental part of the fic and still keep a platonic status if you so choose:Day 1 - Fake Relationship (where Molly pretends to date someone) / Secret Relationship (where the relationship Molly is in is kept secret for some reason) / Clueless Dating (where Molly and/or her SO don’t realize they’re dating but everyone else does)Day 2 - Arranged Marriage (where Molly is arranged to marry someone she’s never met) / Marriage of Convenience (where Molly decides to marry someone to make things easier)Day 3 - Historical Fiction (fiction set in any time period other than the 2000s and later) / Future Fic (fiction set at any point after “The Final Problem”)Day 4 - OMG They Were Roommates (for those wanting to have Molly live with someone for a while) / OMG There Was One Bed (for her and someone else to be stuck somewhere with one bed)Day 5 - Tall and Smoll (for those pairing Molly with someone taller than her) / Anklebiters Unite (for pairing Molly with someone her height or shorter)Day 6 - AUs (alternate universes where it’s not remotely like Sherlock, like coffeeshop AUs) / UAs (universe alterations, where something in the canon universe is changed in a major way)Day 7 - Free For All Day (the day to post anything you missed at other points in the week/anything that doesn’t fit with a theme)RULES:- Any kind of fanwork you can think of is acceptable for this week: fanfic, fanart, fanvids, manipulations, gifsets (please make sure they are your gifs, though, and you’re not taking them from others without permission), meta, headcanons…anything you can think of that would celebrate Molly Hooper that would fit in with a theme (or just show love for her in general on Day 7) will be accepted with much pleasure.- Be kind and respectful to everyone participating. We don’t want any wank because this is a week for sharing our love for a character who loves pretty much everyone we’ve seen her meet.- If there’s something submitted that you like, please like it (or even better, reblog it so others can see it too)! If there’s a link to it on another website, go to that website and leave them love there as well.- Any and all romantic ships are allowed. Het, femslash, poly…you ship it, we want to see it! We turn no one away. All ships are valid ships. Likewise, all takes on Molly’s sexuality and gender are valid for this week as well. Not everyone shares the same headcanons but we should all be respectful of others.- If you post something for the day, please make sure one of your first five tags is molly appreciation week. We will not be using secondary tags this round as there are multiple daily prompts this round.- If you want your work to be reblogged on @mollyappreciationweek you must @ the blog somewhere in your post.
