Happy TDOV, loves. ️‍⚧️ (he/him/his)….I hesitate to say the word happy, because there is no happy feeling I have about this day when violence is still rampant against my siblings, especially against BIPOC. There’s violence coming from all angles. Emotional violence, physical violence, verbal and sexual violence. The violence that surrounds my siblings comes from their families, peers, people they considered friends, strangers, and government. What has happened in the past week alone is horrifying and I am still processing it. Gender affirming medical treatment has saved my life, and it continues to every single day. I can assure you that I am not saying that to just say it. I guarantee that I would not be here or that I would be even a fraction of the confident queer man you see on the left without the gender affirming care I have received in the past 4 years. In the picture on the left, I was barely there. I am still growing, still learning, and will continue to do so as the years go by. I am fortunate and privileged to have received this healthcare, while thousands of my siblings don’t even have a fighting chance to even wait in line for it. This horrifies me and I won’t tolerate it. Stand up for transgender individuals, but don’t speak over us.Stop being exclusionists towards anyone who does not fit your idea of the binary…because guess what? The binary doesn’t even exist outside our society’s forced “rules”. Stop being exclusionary, period.Please help us fight for trans youth to have a better and brighter future. xo️‍⚧️ -- source link
