copperbadge:lacigreen:shezzablue:missmindicarriesbaby5:jesseproch:emt-monster:Please reblog if you know anyone who might take party drugs.I’m not an emt yet, but everytime I see someone do drugs, I just hope they’re smart enough to remember these points.I really love this, because as someone with anxiety when I did take party drugs way back when I was always scared of going to the hospital because I didnt want to be arrested…..even when I bad tripped and cried in the bathroom for 10 hours because I thought Jeff was trying to murder me. I dont do party drugs anymore, but it still is comforting to me….seriously.Most EMTS and medics I’ve met are some of the most non-judgmental folks ever. Look, we love helping people and saving lives. That’s what we went to school for. Help us help you, and everyone will fare better for it. want all my babes to know.I love 99% of this and think it’s important information, but is anyone else a little uncomfortable with the automatic skepticism of someone saying their drink was drugged? I mean, I’m sure EMTs get people lying to them about drugs all the time, and I know EMTs are good people who only want to help. But the difference to an EMT between “I took a drug” and “I was drugged” is minimal in terms of treatment, whereas the difference to an assault victim or potential assault victim between “I think you took them” and “I believe you were assaulted” is enormous. Especially if they are impaired. If your drink was drugged, don’t be afraid to tell someone. If you see someone’s drink being drugged, stop and tell them, and then help them if need be.If someone tells you their drink was drugged, believe them.It is way more important to believe, every time, that someone who says they were drugged is telling the truth, than it is to call someone on bullshitting about taking drugs voluntarily. -- source link
