yougottaletitout:Let’s dance! Oh that’s the way uh-huh, uh-huhI like it, uh-huh, uh-huhthat’s the way uh-huh, uh-huhI like it, uh-huh, uh-huh shake shake shakeshake shake shakeshake your booty shake your booty That’s the way, uh-huh, uh-huh I like it uh-huh This song is a mash-up of That’s The Way (I Like It) and (Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty, both by KC and the Sunshine band. It was performed by the Glee club back in ‘93 when Schuester was still a student at McKinley. The performance was cut from the episode itself- But you can watch it over here, although I do wonder for how long. Will has an emotional moment about this, what it meant for him to perform and win. But… Look at these lyrics and compare them to how New Directions (Or Vocal Adrenaline, or The Warblers) sing their hearts out during competitions. And one more thing, in what way are lyrics like the above any different from something like: ”Ah, Hey!Push it good Ooh, baby, babyBaby, BabyOoh, baby, babyBaby, BabyGet up on this!“ So it seems like they created this performance as a contrast/guideline for other performances. Because when you take this mash-up and Golddigger in mind, there really is no reason for Will not to let the kids do Push It in Showmance. -- source link
