rpgs-are-neat:catb320:check out my favorite paladinWait, what is that actually saying? The way I read it, his claim is “There is good and there is evil. Anything else is a combination of the two. And that which is not wholly ‘white’ is deserving of death.”I get having your head set on an ideal. But this seems to be blatant stubbornness. I would argue that this is far too similar to every “Lawful Good” character who uses the law as a weapon against those they don’t like or who don’t completely conform to their ideals. That’s a fair criticism, but I don’t think that’s what he was saying. When you’re dealing with foes who are consistently trying to kill you, you can’t be indecisive. He doesn’t disagree with her that it’s possible their foes could have been allies, but that letting yourself doubt in the face of danger is ill advised and reckless. Plus, he’s a little impatient with Jaheira because she started with a sarcastic tone.Honesty, I think they’re both right. They’re just thinking of the question from a different perspective. -- source link
